As a freelance science writer and editor, I translate compelling research for diverse audiences. My work covers clinical medicine, public health, natural sciences, science policy, biotechnology, climate change, ecology, and conservation.

I produce concise, engaging content in varying forms, including press releases, blogs, feature length articles, research synopses, and website copy for a range of clients. My editing experience includes conforming content to multiple writing styles, including AMA, APA, Chicago, and MLA.

I aim to bring clarity to complex topics and to engage the curiosity of nonexpert audiences with accessible and accurate science stories.

My enthusiasm for science communication originates in Morocco's Atlas Mountains where I spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer helping teachers strengthen their environmental education and science curricula. I earned my M.S. in Environment & Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and previously edited the journal Environmental History

I am Managing Editor of JAMA Internal Medicine, Chair of Audubon Chapter of Minneapolis, and also serve as its web editor.
